How can we help you?
Frequently asked questions
For all licence types, the length of time required is highly dependent upon the degree to which the applicant is prepared.
It often takes between 3 to 6 months from the moment that a client contacts us until a licence application is ready to be submitted. From that point onwards, the Dutch Central Bank or the Authority for the Financial Markets has in principle 13 weeks in which to decide on an application. This period can be extended should certain documents not be fully complete.
A smooth licence application process depends on three factors:
- Being well prepared: It certainly helps if you are aware of what a licence application entails. The website of the Dutch Central Bank provides a lot of information.
- Quality and completeness: A complete application garners the regulator’s trust and prevents frustration. Furthermore, when all elements of the application are well grounded the regulator will be able to more readily reach a positive decision.
- Experts’ support: An expert can assist with the points above. Franssen Tolboom will use, for example, an application checklist to ensure that you are well prepared. You can also assess how complete your application is. Of course, we can also review the quality of your application.
