Law firm Franssen Tolboom launches on 1 January 2025

As of January 1, 2025, law firm Franssen Tolboom Attorneys at law has officially launched. The firm is located at IJdok 21 in Amsterdam.

Franssen Tolboom is a boutique law firm with a focus on technology, innovation, and regulation. The firm primarily serves the gaming, gambling, fintech & payments, and sports, media & entertainment sectors.

The firm was founded by partners Justin Franssen and Frank Tolboom, in collaboration with legal expert Dr. Alan Littler, who joins as Legal Director.

Franssen, Tolboom, and Littler have worked together for years, previously as part of the Gaming, Sports & Entertainment team at VMW Taxand (formerly Van Mens & Wisselink), established by Franssen, and more recently over the past 12 years at Kalff Katz & Franssen. This collaboration formally ended on January 1, 2025.

The team associated with the founders has fully transitioned to Franssen Tolboom. Additionally, the team has been strengthened by the addition of four experienced counsels, further expanding the firm’s litigation, sports law, and corporate/M&A capabilities.

The launch of Franssen Tolboom Attorneys at law highlights the firm’s growth and diversification. The team has an established international reputation in the gaming & gambling sectors (Chambers Band 1 ranking Global Market Leaders) and aims to further strengthen its position in fintech & payments, as well as the sports, media, and entertainment sectors.
